Meet the O&P Global Project Team

The O&P Global Project Team will lead the research, development and consultation needed to establish a global organisation dedicated to enhancing national-level regulation of the orthotist/prosthetist workforce.

The team behind the O&P Global Project are senior leaders with broad research expertise across the O&P and regulation sector. The research activities of the O&P Global Project Team will be supported by an Advisory Committee of industry experts.

Leigh Clarke
M.PH, B.PO (Hons) 

Chief Executive Officer, The Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association

Leigh is a passionate O&P and is the O&P Global Project lead. Leigh is an association executive with extensive experience in governance, strategy, workforce development and regulation and has prior experience in founding and establishing a new organisation.

Dr Michael Dillon
PhD, B.PO (Hons) 

Professor in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Head, Department of Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Prosthetics and Orthotics. La Trobe University, Melbourne

Michael is an experienced O&P researcher and will lead the phase one method design of the O&P Global Project. Michael has extensive experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including leading large projects to successful completion. 

Dr Emily Ridgewell
PhD, B.PO (Hons)

Manager Policy and Research, The Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association

Emily is an O&P workforce and policy expert and will lead the phase two consultation of the O&P Global Project. Emily has published influential O&P workforce analyses and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of all self-regulation standards for O&P in Australia. 

Megg Banks
M.PO

Graduate Prosthetist, ProMotion Prosthetics

Megg is an experienced and skilled communicator who will coordinate communications for the O&P Global project. Megg has communication experience across a variety of platforms and mediums through her previous role of Communications Officer at the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association.
